Plaster cast totems in geometrical forms are symbols of place and the animals that inhabit them. Each totem and its imagery etched on acrylic includes an animal and or a symbol that speaks about the natural world, the cosmos and our connection to them both. The oil based etched imagery is casted inside the plaster and I excavate it from the mold and treat the surface by raking. Each totem carries a special meaning and message of animal medicine and place.
Frog message: Frog is the totem of metamorphosis - symbolizing coming into personal power. Leap out of established habits, so one can start anew and open up to new opportunities.
